| Conservation Project -- Rutland BASS is coordinating a conservation effort to restore habitat in Lake St. Catherine. This lake has been the victim of several years worth of chemical treatment to combat eurasian milfoil. This chemical war on milfoil has left the lake devoid of most submergent vegetation. | Statute Changes? -- Vermont Federation Nation is working to change legislation which currently requires a permit fee of $50 for every fishing tournament conducted in Vermont. The current fee is the same for a 6 person club gathering as it is for a 400 person major event. Last year's effort failed to even raise an eyebrow as the proposal never made it far past the Rutland Town Representative. This year, we will start earlier and look for different representative supporters within the committee itself. |
